Train for Turbulence
Oldenburg, Germany

On the train back from Oldenburg where the AptWind main training event, called “Train for turbulence” took place, we can conclude after seeing all the presentations from the doctoral candidates that they are making great progress.
The event included the last parts of a course on Turbulence with a visit in the active grid wind tunnel, and several sessions of the course on scientific writing lead by Ebba Dellwik. Discussions about the upcoming activity focused on industry best practices and future events took place, and Julia Gottschall lectured about FAIR data principles, code repositories, and data handling.
We are happy to share for the first time a group photo above, where all the 15 AptWind doctoral candidates are present. It was exciting to visit the WiValdi research wind farm in Krummendeich, and we had an interesting bus tour excursion organized by the local host Jan Friedrich.
