MLse 2025

Inductiva Machine Learning for Science & Engineering Summer School.  

From the 19th-23rd of May 2025, our doctoral candidates participated in at the Inductiva Machine Learning for Science and Engineering Summer School 2025 hosted at the Engineering Faculty of the University of Porto.

 

The activities included lectures with real-world use cases, AI-driven simulation exercises, a student forum and social activities. 

We thank the support of the keynote speakers who participated: 

Filipa Barros (University of Porto), Guilherme Vaz (blueOASIS), Hans Bihs (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), Hugo Penedones (Inductiva), Jonathan Godwin (Orbital Materials), Jousef Murad (APEX), Luís Sarmento (Inductiva), Manuel Madeira (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), Mario Figueiredo (University of Lisbon), Piotr Mirowski (Google DeepMind), Ricardo Vinuesa (KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm) and Ryan Mcdonald (Consultant).

 

We also want to highlight the work and thank the organisers and lab assistants from Inductiva and FEUP for their efforts. 

 

Our support of this event showcases our commitment to providing our doctoral candidates with the latest tools to address the current and future challenges in atmospheric flow physics and turbulence for wind energy applications and contribute to creating knowledge exchange platforms and networking in direct collaboration with the industry.
