Our doctoral network participated with presentations at the Wind Energy Science Conference (WESC) 2025 in Nantes, France from the 24-27 of June. It was an exciting opportunity to be part of this event that gathered +1200 attendees from academia and industry.

Here are a detail list of the presentations:
"Comparison between a nacelle lidar and a met mast in spatially varying flow" by Thea Vanelli.
"Estimation of Turbulence Statistics from Pulsed Lidar" by Mohammadreza Manami.
"Identifying systematic biases in ERA5 and downscaled mesoscale products in modelling for wind energy applications" by Maksims Pogumirskis.
"Assessing boundary layer heights with ERA5, WRF, and scanning lidar measurements" by Cristina Benzo.
"Assessing canopy models in forested complex terrain: insights from the Perdigão case study" presented by Vasco Batista, project which he contributed on, with lead author J. Monteiro.
"Measurements of inflow turbulence for large wind turbines" by Ansh Patel.
"Quantification of Tropical Cyclone Characteristics in Taiwan, Japan and East Coast US" by Keeta Chapman-Smith.
We look forward to continuing to share our research in valuable platforms like WESC, that allowed our doctoral candidates to get meaningful feedback and network opportunities.
