AptWind at the 30th Anniversary of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions
On October 1, Keeta Chapman attended the conference celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), bringing together researchers, policymakers and others involved in European research and innovation.
The event opened with remarks from the European Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation, who announced an additional €210 million in funding for the MSCA and presented an award to the 150,000th MSCA PhD student.
The programme continued with talks from researchers supported by the MSCA, followed by panels and discussions exploring the future of research and innovation in Europe.
Keeta took part in the panel “From Curiosity to Impact – Attracting and Empowering Young Talent.” The panel brought together researchers and policymakers to discuss how Europe can attract, support and empower the next generation of research talent. The rest of the day focused on the achievements of the MSCA over the past 30 years and how Europe can continue to strengthen its position in research and innovation.
For Keeta, it was a particularly memorable event during her PhD and a great opportunity to take part in discussions about the future of research alongside researchers and policymakers from across Europe.
